Cirque Du Soleil Shows Featured in Las Vegas

Cirque Du Soleil continually pushes the envelope on innovative entertainment and as a result has created some of the best shows in Las Vegas and the world. The creators and producers are consistently among the best in the world at putting together beauty, elegance, acrobatic skill, and aquatic talent into one cohesive and entertaining unit. They not only provide an incredible show, they create an entire fantastical world that transports each viewer out of their seats and into imagination. It is safe to say that Cirque Du Soleil has no equal in the entertainment industry, and that the shows that have been created especially for their Las Vegas venues are an absolute must see for anyone who appreciates imaginative beauty and remarkable talent. The four shows that are performing in Las Vegas now are “O” at the Bellagio, Mystere at Treasure Island, Zumanity at New York New York, and KA at the MGM Grand. Le Reve at Wynn Las Vegas is not technically a Cirque show, but it was created by Franco Dragone, an extensive collaborator on most of the other productions, and has a distinctly Cirque du Soleil influence.

LE REVE LAS VEGAS-The most unique show experience you will ever encounter is now a permanent resident at Wynn Las Vegas. Le Reve is described as “a small collection of imperfect dreams

O LAS VEGAS - Beyond circus, beyond theater, Cirque du Soleil has created an entirely original form of live entertainment. “O” pays tribute to the magic of the theater at the Bellagio Las Vegas.

MYSTERE LAS VEGAS-Mystere distinguishes itself from other Cirque du Soleil productions by taking staggering performances and astonishing technical complexity and adding a vibrantly colorful and animalistic spin.

KA, the unprecedented new theatrical show from Cirque du Soleil at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, brings together astonishing acrobatic performances, the thrills and action of martial arts from all over the world, plus astonishing innovations in puppetry.

ZUMANITY LAS VEGAS - ZUMANITY is a show for lovers, would-be lovers, and anyone whose imagination has ever been sparked by the idea of love.

Cirque Du Soleil tickets may be purchased at www.vegascirqueshows.com

Online booking in advance is suggested as these shows sell out nightly and most several weeks in advance.

I saw Delisco at the Hilton this Weekend

Delisco, you may recall was crowned E! Entertainment Television’s “The Entertainer,” by Wayne Newton “The Entertainer” was a ten-episode series that chronicled Wayne Newton’s nationwide search for the next Las Vegas headliner. Thirty thousand auditioned, ten made it to Las Vegas, but only one was crowned “The Entertainer” DELISCO.

He was great, very energetic, the band was really good and they all performed songs from the 70’s and 80’s which is my favorite erra in music time. The showroom is smaller so you really connect with the performance.

I recommend if in Las Vegas be sure and catch his show, its about $29 he performs every night at 7pm except Sunday’s.

Our Family Weekend in Vegas

I went to Las Vegas last weekend and the family had a great time. We stayed at The Excalibur it was an ok room but the kids had a good time downstairs in the carnival type arcade. We did catch a few shows for the kids, Mac King Comedy Magic Show afternoon show and what a fun time we had with the family at his show. It is clean, funny, entertaining. Half way through the show I had to go to the bathroom and I just could not leave my seat we had a blast.

The next night we saw Master Magician Lance Burton, I undertand him and Mac King are friends and are from the same town. Theres not much I can say about Lance’s show other than hes the best there is in Las Vegas when it comes to magic these days. I do want to catch Rick Thomas next visit as I saw he moved to the Stardust but we missed his show but someone did tell me he has the best afternoon show but I can not confirm that.

We ate at the buffet at the Excalibur and all I can say about that one is “don’t” - enough said.

The wife and I got away alone one evening and saw Skintight and if you have not seen this topless Playboy show featuring Shannon O’Keefe she is beautiful and quite a talented singer and things I would love to say about her but I am certain they would be edited so why both. Just see this high energy, fun, hot, sexy show and get your picture taken with Shannon after the show. Take it home, show your coworkers and make them weep.

Drove out to Hoover Dam and saw the damn dam and the kids really liked that. I saw them playing their video game and I tried to explain the marvel.

Well that was our weekend in Vegas and lets see if this gets posted.

Last Weekends Advernture with the Kids

Our weekend began at the Bellagio with a suite that really was outstanding overlooking the view of the Lake. the fountain show and the Paris Eiffel Tower. We had a deal to stay there and could not pass it up. The kids and the wife enjoyed the conservatory which I must admit was quite nice but most of all the tables had my number and I won $740 on craps so the wife found out and we had to take the kids to a show. Of course the wife chose “O” A Cirque Du Soleil Production and after nearly fainting at the price of $150 each I will be the first to say I would do it all again. The show is really outstanding and the effects are unbelievable, as my wife says “our family has truly experienced true beauty, I just wanted to pinch myself.”

I got back to gambling this time video poker at the Rio while the kids watched the free show there, so much for the big spender. I played for over 4 hours and finally was ahead by $42. I cashed out and went to bed.

Sunday morning I had a comp for the buffet at the Bellagio and it was really good. The kids said the deserts were like eating in a French bakery and for kids that have never been to France I guess it has to be good. Course don’t forget you’re talking about kids that eat at McDonalds once a week.

The wife went to the spa at the Luxor, she said it was very relaxing, I took the kids to the MGM Grand and they played at the Game Works next door and I gambled craps again and let me just say ” OH crap”

We flew home on Sunday evening and looking back, what happened in Vegas, well lets just say next time I will go to Vegas and maybe just visit my money….

Blue Man Group at the Luxor Last Weekend

I was taken as a surprise by my husband of 20 years. He knew I wanted to go but he was not interested. It was very fun and he enjooyed it as well. I love percussion and this show delivered. I didn’t realize they actually played recognizable songs on PVC. The Blue Men’s faces were very animated. I liked the audience participation and when the Blue Men ventured into the audience. We were on the 6th row but the back of the auditorium received special attention too. Being covered in crepe paper at the ending was fun. I can’t wait to take my kids.

Worth every penny and we will return to see them again!

Show Weekend In Vegas

My wife and I saw several shows a few weekends ago while our daughter and her husband were visiting from Denver. We took them to see La Cage starring Frank Marino and I have not seen that show for many years but it was as much fun as I remembered over 5 years ago. Frank was funny and entertaining and they have added a few girls (or I guess guys) to the show as well, we enjoyed them all. The next day we took the kids over to see Penn and Teller, I never laughed so nuch at Penns jokes and the things he makes Teller do. We went gambling the next night downtown and caught the Fremont Street Experience, had the 99 cent shrimp cocktails and I showed them the largest gold nugget on display at the Golden Nugget what a beautiful hotel that was. The final night they were here I took them to see Blue Man Group at the Luxor which I can only discribe as “ground-breaking,” “hilarious,” “visually stunning,” and “musically powerful.” The kids has a blast and so did the wife and I and I guess I can say “It was only money!”

My Weekend In Vegas

This weekend was fun. It was Jill’s 21st birthday so we went to Vegas (where better to go for your 21st?) We stayed in the Mandalay Bay, it had great rooms, and casinos, and pools, and restaurants. We ate dinner at Rum Jungle, it’s an awesome restaurant. Next time you are in Vegas, check it out. We also had drinks at Aureole, a nice place, I like the interior design of the place. On Saturday we ate at N9NE in the Palms. It was great fun, great place to see and be seen, as they say. Also, the steak just melts in your mouth, and that’s always good.

We gambled quite a bit, mainly nickel and quarter slots. We spent as much on cabs as we did on gabling. One wasted cab ride was to the Hilton, I had wanted to go see Star Trek: The Experience and Jill kindly indulged me. The only problem was, it costs $30 per person to get in. Needless to say, we did not go in. It was really too bad, I have wanted to go for years. I can’t imagine a place like that would make money with such high a price.

In the end, the weekend was too short.

Titanic Exhibit and the show Erotica

I went and saw the Titanic Exhibit at the Tropicana, don’t miss this exhibit it really makes you think about the Titanic and gets you in touch with the people who went on that historic cruise. We then went over and saw Erotica at the Rio, if you like rock and roll music and a topless review you will find it erotically delicious.
